Anime movie Black Clover releases its title, trailer, and cast ahead of its March 31 global premiere
The future Black Clover movie, which will be called Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King (Black Clover: Mahtei no Ken) and open in theaters in Japan on March 31, 2023, was revealed on Thursday by the official website for the Black Clover anime. On YouTube, Netflix has started to play a trailer with English subtitles. a new cast member and a visual were also revealed on the movie's website and official Twitter account
The visuals were created by original manga artist Yki Tabata, who also serves as the film's main supervisor and original character designer
A former Wizard King named Konrad Leto (English name romanization not verified) will be portrayed by Toshihiko Seki
Staff members from the anime television show are back for the movie. The movie is being directed by Black Clover's Ayataka Tanemura, with Itsuko Takeda creating the character designs and Minako Seki providing the musical score
The cast of the movie first unveiled a visual of Asta (seen to the right) in March 2021, and then unveiled a visual of Yuno in December of the previous year
The anime version of the manga debuted in Japan in October 2017. The program had 51 episodes originally, but with episode 52 in October 2018 and with episode 52 in October 2019, it continues into a new season. Due to COVID-19, the show was put on hold beginning in April 2020. It returned in July 2020 with episode 133. In March 2021, the program's 170th and final episode aired
The series was available for streaming on Crunchyroll in Japanese with English subtitles and on Funimation in its English dub. In December 2017, the anime made its debut on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block
In February 2015, Tabata debuted Black Clover in Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga is being published digitally and in print by Viz Media, and it is also being published digitally by Shueisha's MANGA Plus service. As of May 2021, there were more than 15 million copies of the manga in use worldwide
Late in April, the manga was put on hold for three months as planned so that Tabata could work on the "final arc" of the work (the wording used could also be translated as "final saga"). On August 1st, the manga was restarted
