On November 16, the popular time-traveling television series Tokyo Revengers will conclude after five episodes. The news has divided fans.

Fans are reacting differently to the news that the time-traveling gang series Tokyo Revengers would cease after five chapters.

With the words "Revenge Completed" in red, Ken Wakui's official Twitter account revealed that Nov. 16 is the date of the final episode. The series won't end until then, and Weekly Shonen Magazine No. 51 will contain the series' last chapter. In June 2021, the television show declared that it had reached its conclusion. Currently, Tokyo Revengers has 274 chapters as of the time of this article's publication.

One critic on the news stated that while the show has its moments, the more recent arcs fell short. In the end, the commenter wished for a "good finale" to the series. Because there were so many unfinished business in the plot, some commenters were concerned that the mangaka could rush the conclusion. Fans expressed their shock and devastation at the news, but many also expressed gratitude to mangaka Ken Wakui for creating Tokyo Revengers.

Tokyo Revengers, which has been serialized in Weekly Shnen Magazine since 2017, centers on a dejected loser named Takemichi Hanagaki who learns that the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang murdered his middle school love and her brother. Soon after he discovers this, he is shoved in front of a train. He doesn't pass away; instead, he goes back in time to his middle school days and makes a promise to protect his girlfriend from the Tokyo Manji Gang. The Tokyo Manji Gang, also known as Toman, is a group that has committed every heinous crime imaginable in the present day, including murder, rape, and arson. However, when Takemichi meets the leader of Toman, he realizes that something must have happened to cause this gang to go down a bad path. Takemichi faces a more challenging challenge in the final arc after successfully rescuing his love and his pals during a number of time-traveling escapades. Now he has to figure out a way to save Mikey, the leader of the Toman, and give him the happy ending he deserves. As of July 2022, the manga has sold over 65 million copies.

International Releases Omitted the Manji Symbol

Tokyo Revengers, which was adapted by Liden Films (Cells at Work! Code Black and Otherside Picnic), debuted in April 2021 and lasted for 24 episodes. Despite the fact that the two symbols are positioned at different angles and that the manji symbol is considered an auspicious emblem in Buddhism and other religions, western viewers may equate it with Nazism. The manji sign was heavily cut out of the anime when it was made available outside of Japan. The "Christmas Showdown" arc's second season will debut in January 2023. A sequel will be released in 2023 after a live-action adaptation made its debut in 2021.

The manga is available to readers in print or digitally through Seven Seas Entertainment and Kodansha USA. On Crunchyroll, you can watch Tokyo Revengers' inaugural season.
