Reincarnated as a Sword Anime Gets 2nd Season

 The television adaptation of Yuu Tanaka and LLO's Reincarnated as a Sword (Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita) light novel series will have a second season, according to the official website. The website debuted an advertisement and visual:


On Wednesday, the 12th and last episode of the first season aired.


Reincarnated as a Sword and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Guren no Kizuna-hen) anime film collaborated on a visual for the website.


The anime's broadcast on ABC TV and BS Asahi followed its October 5 premiere on Tokyo MX. The first episodes of the ABEMA service debuted on September 28.


The anime at C2C was directed by Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Edens Zero). The screenplays were written and edited by Takahiro Nagano, the writer of the Duel Masters series. The characters were created by chief animation director Atsuki Sait (Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, Wandering Witch - The Journey of Elaina episode animation director).


"Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita," the opening theme song, is performed by Kishida Kydan & The Akeboshi Rockets (Reincarnated as a Sword). "moreSTRONGLY," the closing theme song, is performed by Maon Kurosaki.


Both the original light novels and Tomowo Maruyama's manga adaptation are being made available in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. According to the business, the manga is 


A magical sword that was reincarnated as a sentient weapon and had memories of a previous existence but not his name frees a young beastgirl from a life of servitude. Fran, the cat-eared girl who takes control of him, merely wants to get stronger; the sword, on the other hand, is curious as to why he is in this place. The journey of the odd pair has only just begun! In October 2015, Tanaka published the books on the Shsetsuka ni Narou website, and in July 2016, Gentosha started publishing the series with pictures by LLO. On September 30, the 14th volume of the assembled book was sent out. The 12th volume was released on September 24. Maruyama first published the manga adaptation on Gentosha's Denshi Birz website in December 2016.


Over 1.8 million copies of the light novel series are now in circulation.


The Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita: Another Wish manga spinoff was introduced by Hinako Inoue in June 2020.
